Birding in Newcastle

I spent an idyllic day on my belly in the mud trying to get close enough to waders on the Newcastle mudflats.  Needless to say, I got very dirty indeed but it was well worth it.  Photographing birds requires to much patience, but it can feel so rewarding when you get the shot.

Those birds are like a pray. Congrats. There are fantastic birds in Brazil, too.

Hi Graeme,

I ave been checking your blog daily, since Saturday with no new images, till this morning !. WOW! What a weekend you had!! You obviously stayed in Newcastle overnight, I suspect in your tent, by looking at the dates. The photos of the crabs were awesome and the birds shots were sensational! Well worth the wait in getting to Newcastle

Fantastic photography Graeme, I am NOT in your league at all, You must be chuffed with the numerous, superb bird photographs.

Hearty congratulations
